Meet Team Leader For Grain Bin Solutions: Steven Rom
Steven by nature is a “Trader” by heart. For the last 30 + years Steven has traded mainly in Comestible products. He learned very early on the only way to success in this international game was to surround himself with trusted and reliable partners.
With this said in the main in the large transactions that have followed, Steven has always been the direct negotiator between the Buyer & Seller.
Steven cut his teeth in the comestible market by supplying 90,000Kg of Tea to buyers in Russia, of whom he had a direct relation. The same was with the seller Van Rees of Rotterdam, vanrees.com
All facets of the deal were completely handled by Steven, from the sourcing of the product, to receiving the Letter of Credit and transferring it the one allowed time to Van Rees.
Many subsequent deals have followed over the years, with relationships built over time. Steven has been deeply involved in Pakistan and has relationships that go back 25 plus years. Working with Orient Trade Pakistan, & Mehkri Trade. These relationships have involved dealings in Sugar & other comestibles.
Steven brought one the owners of OTP to Portland Oregon, to meet with largest of the US grain exporters. Harvest Grain, Louis Dreyfus & Wilbur Ellis. The purpose to make OTP a registered agent of the company. OTP in turn is now the third largest, exporter/importer of grains thru the Port of Karachi, Pakistan. Having the loading / unloading and bagging facility at its berth in the port.
Currently Steven is directly involved with the Silo project for Pakistan, at the highest level.
